Just the other day at the Rock the Vote Concert we offered a prayer for the recovery of former president Cory Aquino led by Fr. Jet Villarin. I never expected that early Saturday morning I wake up hearing the news that she passed away at 3:18am in front of her daughters and son who are praying the rosary. At the age of 76 she had her last breath due to cardiac resperatory.The entire nation was mourning for the woman of courage and the nation's treasure. Former President Cory Aquino has been the mother of Democracy not only in the Philippines but all over the world when she defeated the Marcos Tyranny in 1986. She has been the first woman president in Philippines and Asia. Her courage has been an inspiration to all Filipinos and also to all the nations. awarded by Time Magazine as the Women of the Year in 1986. From a plain housewife to being the symbol of Democracy...
